Suspect: PinkDolle
Reason: Stealing Smiles' layout.

Unfortunately, PinkDolle deleted her layout from her shop before screenshots were taken. But she left them up on her Photobucket account:

As it is obvious to see, the layouts are extremely alike. The fact she removed the layouts from her shop without argument says more than anything that she's guilty, but she has yet to properly respond.

Case #8: Prefill

Case #8

Suspect: Prefill

Reason: Stealing Fragrance's codes and using it for her own layouts.

This is the comparison between Fragrance and Prefill's codes.

As you can see, both layout codes are pretty much similar.
She even kept the #FFffff there by accident, and also the padding and margin at the bottom. Dumb much?
I'm pretty sure you can tell those codes are stolen.

When confronted about the code theft, this is what she said:

It is quite sad that she is getting so butthurt.
She can get reported for using insults and foul language. (:

So after confronting her, she locked up her homepage shop and even set her page to private.
LOL. If everybody uses that code, why'd you set your page to private and lock your shop? ==

So everyone, please be aware of this user if you have ever purchased her layouts. Take your page down immediately if you have one of her layouts.

 

CASE #7: Nycky

OMG, this person is seriously pissing so many people off, YET HER LAYOUTS STILL GET SOLD.

Suspect: Nycky

Reason: Stealing Fragrance's codes and using it for her own layouts

All layouts original and fully coded? YAH DON'T THINK SO.

How is this not called code theft? Wtf.

One dumb person after another.

Here is more proof:

A code that Fragrance uses:

 And here is one in Nycky's codes:

 Oh yeah, it wasn't even necessary to go back and grab Nycky's stolen codes, because afterall, it's the same as Fragrance's.

Here is what she said after we confronted her.

" you have never bought my layouts. then as you know I'm using the codes Fragrance?
How can you accuse anyone without proof, because I did not used any code and fragrance. instead of wasting time slandering people, better learn to codes."

 Proof was given to her, and she remained speechless, closed her shop and made a new one! Wtfbiotch.

A few people had posted in her new shop warning others not to buy from her, but she then requested a mod to delete those posts, and continued with her shop, where a customer bought a layout from her for 90k.

She also mentioned that she had learned those codes off a website. Yeah right, links to the  pages you learned off were sent to me and nothing, NOTHING in your codes were on that website. 

Her layout designs are also obviously copied off Fragrance's, and selling them for 75k - 90k? Seriously?

It's not even worth it if the codes are stolen.

How sad can you be?

 

CASE #6: Seriously

Suspect: Seriously

Reason: Copied/edited Uihara's current HP layout and put it up for sale.

You can see that the layout was copied and then re-edited to its own colors, which looks pretty damn bad.

Uihara has had her layout up for a pretty long while, so it is obvious that Seriously was the one who stole her layout.

This, Click, is unacceptable.

I did not steal/edit over/copy that layout. I didn't even make that layout. Chihiro came to me and asked me to code it for her and add her name in text at the top right box. After the whole issue with Hime being my collab partner in the shop and finding out she was an art thief, I closed down that shop. It was never up for sale as a premade, it was up as an example of layouts I've worked with/coded.

Why is it that my case was the only one posted without contacting me and asking me to explain myself or for proof even?
Knowing that Chihiro stole that layout now, I'm pretty sure if I asked her about it she'd deny the whole thing making it look worse on my part. If she still even exists as this was in August of '10 that my blog was created.

Thanks for ruining my legit and honest name over something that you guys didn't even know about.

Update: Seriously later went on to deny she made that layout in an exchange with another member from IMVU:

CASE #5: Allureex

Suspect: Allureex

Reason: Copying and frauding vanessa674x's homepage layout.

You can see the obvious similarities. The thief had replaced the navigation bar with her own links and just plain failed at cropping/re-editing back in the designs on each side of the navigation bar.

Then two days later she turns around and does this D:< .]

How horrible. 

Never trust these types of people ._.

They can't get their own originality and just steal people's works.

CASE #4: Before

Wow. ._.
Anyhow thank you again to IAmbeautifulInside for the proof and discovery.

SUSPECT: Before
- ripping a layout off deviantART and editing it into his own 'layout design'

The deviantART victim is ~eg-graphix, whose layout version can be seen below.

Note the unique designs on it.

Now look at Before's version of it.

 Can you see the similarities?

Below is Before's layout overlayed on the original version so you can clearly see the theft.

Can you see the resemblance? The thief simply sliced off the top portion of the layout and edited the copyright at the bottom, as well as edited in navigation.

Here is a conversation between IAmbeautifulInside and Before:

Me: It seems very weird to give away an obviously sliced layout and claim it as yours. o.o You have even edited the copyright.

Him: This is imvu, the copyright is edited so people know my avatar name overall. Also, a portion was taken off as it has my initals on it.

Me: Sure... Can you then explain why your copyright design is different? If you had the PSD it would look the same. Also Jake and Andreas, not really the same. You are from UK, he is from Germany.

Him: As I said, it is a shared account and i didn't make it for me. The copyright isn't much different other than a slight glow. Stop trying to start something.
I'm sure you have something better to do with your life.

Me: LOL.
This isn't the only layout you've stolen. Cut the crap. I can EASILY get a proof of you lying. kthx.

Him: I'm sure you can. Go out and find some proof. I'm sure you have more than enough time to find something that isn't true.

Me: Admit it and be a man. You've been busted and you should be ashamed.

Him: I should be ashamed of no such thing.
All of the so called proof so far is anything but.

CASE #3: Volume

Here we are again with another case.

This time it isn't exactly those regular homepage layouts for sale, but a catalog page idea theft/copycat.

SUSPECT: Volume

- similar designs to Feel's (Fragrance's alt) product page: idea theft much?

It is almost unbelievable how similar it is.

However the HBAD Patrol has not confronted Volume yet.

We will talk to her and furthermore edit this entry with new updates.

CASE #2: Fweakie

Yes, we have another thief case and it's only been a short while since CASE #1 was reported.

SUSPECT: Fweakie

- stole layout designs from two people and tried to sell them in her own shop

 - using a stolen layout for her own homepage

**She is known to also have stolen a DP in the Graphic Art and Services Requests forum**

Which, believe it or not, actually belongs to the code thief from CASE #1!

Many people have posted in her thread confronting her that she stole these layouts however she has not yet replied.

CASE #1: Ten

This is not the first case ever reported however it is the most recent.

SUSPECT: Ten 

- shop posted in HBAD forums with layouts ranging from 5 - 50k in credits.

- stole codes by Fragrance and did not admit to it

Proof

As you can see, she failed at making it look like an original code. Yes, some codes are findable with Google HOWEVER, you can CLEARLY see the epic failure as the values in these codes were not changed at all.

Lastly we commented on her thread, as well as PM'ed her.

From Pooklet -> Ten:

"Nice job stealing Fragrance's code and designs, and even further, selling your "layouts" and telling people not to steal them.

: )"

 And she replied with:

"No it's not.
Have you looked to other layout's maker's styleshhet? they're pretty common.
Fragrance uses it different + some months ago I used to have fragrance's stylesheet - excatly the same she has,
and then she told me about it, because i acted like a noob, and
i really learned from that. it's not identical.

From there, proof was PM'ed to her and she was left speechless and never replied.

The suspect then requested to lock her thread, however the thread was further deleted.
